Better late than never right...

Well, a LOT has happened since my last post. (Yes, it's been almost a year) Needless to say life has been busy!!!

Here's a recap:

1. In May we found out we were having a baby!! We were soooo excited!!!! We wet to the doctor and everything looked great. We decided to wait a few weeks to tell everyone with just having a miscarriage. We also took our annual beach vacation with my parents. Peyton hated everything about the beach. Zeke loved it. He loved
to search for seashells.

2. In July we celebrated Peyton's 2nd birthday. We rented a waterslide and had a great time!!

3. In August Zeke started 3 yr old preschool at Carriage Hills 2 days a week. He absolutely loves it. It's been a wonderful experience. He even has a girlfriend Holly.

We also found out we were having a GIRL!!! Boy were we shocked! Let the shopping begin!!! Lol

This pregnancy was the absolute worst for me!! I have never been in so much pain or so sick. Clyde was definitely supportive even though I know he wanted to ring my necks at times!!

4. Sept- Dec were filled with baby shower after baby shower! Most of our Sunday School class was pregnant. We had a baby a month starting in August and 3 in December.

We also celebrated Zeke's 4th birthday in November. Can't believe my baby is getting so big!

5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Well, tomorrow is our 5 YEAR anniversary!!! I can not believe it has already been 5 years! These past 5 years have been full of ups and downs. We have definitely been busy!! Honestly looking back to the day we got married...I would have not thought we would already have 2 kids.  Don't get me wrong, I would not change it for anything! Zeke and Peyton are the most precious gifts from God! We thank him everyday for them! We are truly blessed!!

Looking back 5 years ago...where we were and where are now is absolutely great! We have grown up so much. Well, not so much Clyde! HAHA!! We both have grown closer to each other but in the Lord as well!

I thought I would give a glimpse of our LOVE STORY!

Clyde and I met at Kroger in Horn Lake where we both worked. I worked in the pharmacy and he was at customer service. Clyde was a senior in HS. Yes, I am older than him! Don't believe him on how much older!!  We went on our first official date in October of 2003. There was definitely a connection. We began talking after that as friends getting to know each other. February 13, 2004 he asked me to be his Valentine over the PA system at Kroger. Of course, I said yes and we went our our second date. We were suppose to go on a double date with Tommy but she stood him up. Tommy was our 3rd wheel! HAHA (LOVE YOU TOMMY!!) Our relationship started off like any other..we went out on dates, went to each other's family events, etc. I remember the day I knew I loved him like it was yesterday. I knew that there was something different about Clyde. I was in a awful place before I met Clyde. I had turned from the Lord and wasn't living  my life like I should. I tell people that Clyde is my guardian angel! Clyde is someone I can be ME around. I didn't have to feel fake or make myself better for him to like me. He loved me for who I was! We were dating about 3  years when I started the hints! ;) I was working at Desoto Central Elementary as a library assistant.

On December 17, 2006 Clyde proposed. No I don't have some wonderful extravagant story. He had wonderful way to propose but his plan fell apart. Shows you that everything doesn't happen the way you want it. I will tell you that it was the sweetest thing he ever did! I was shocked!!! I know I had been hinting but he kept teasing me when we went out that I had decided he wasn't going to do it on a expected holiday!!

We began to plan right away! We didn't want a long engagement. We chose May 5, 2007 as our day! As a little girl, I had planned this day out in my head for years. It's funny that when it comes to the actual planning how things change! We got married at Longview. We were one the last couples to get married in the old sanctuary (which now is the Chapel). We had our reception at the Southaven Tennis Center. We had a great time!

Here are a few pictures from that day!

What an exciting 5 years we have had! We have had 2 precious boys, I finished college, moved 3 times, Clyde got a 1st shift position, watch 2 brother-in-laws graduate HS, one graduate from Ole Miss, got a sister-in-law and a NIECE! That pretty sums up our 5 years! HAHA!

I am just in love if not more that I was 5 years ago! I thank God everyday for blessing me with Clyde! He is my soul mate, best friend...my EVERYTHING!

I look forward to the many more years we spend together!!!

Easter 2012

Easter is always busy for us. There are so many things to do! This year Clyde was umpiring a tournament on Friday and Saturday. We both were off on Good Friday and decided to make it a family day! We took the boys to Cedar Hill Farms for their Easter Egg Hunt. The boys LOVE the farm! Peyton was running around and screaming at all the animals! It was soo cute! We had to chase him down. They have redone the playground. The boys could have stayed their all day!! We went on the hayride to the Easter egg hunt. They both just took off running and grabbing eggs. We had to keep throwing Peyton's back because he clearly got more than 12! HAHA!! We left at lunch time and stopped at The Dip for lunch and ice cream. That afternoon we dyed eggs. They boys both loved it. I love making memories like these.

Here are some pictures from Easter morning! We went ahead and took a few before we left for church. The boys DO NOT cooperate when it comes to pictures!!

After church we always go to my parents for lunch and take MORE pictures. Here are a few. As you can see we couldn't get a group shot with my parents and the boys! LOL

As least we managed to get ONE decent of the 4 of us!

It is tradition that we go to Jackie and Brenda's house for dessert and coffee Easter afternoon. We always have a Easter egg hunt for the adults.  Here is a picture of the boys before heading to their house. My sweet friend Kelly made these outfits for the boys!

This year at Jackie and Brenda's we had a HUGE crowd! So glad that we got to see Mamaw Bostick, Aunt Glenda, Allyson, Courtney, Carter and Cohen!

This is my FAVORITE picture from Easter! Our niece is just the most beautiful girl EVER! (I know we are partial) She was showing off her bracelet that I got her for Easter! She loves her Uncle Clyde!!

This picture pretty much sums up how crazy our family is! I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Hope everyone had a blessed Easter!!

2012

Well, we are 5 months into 2012 and I have not blogged. Needless to say we have been extremely busy! I will recap what has happened the past few months.

In December I finally became an AUNT! Let me be the first to tell you that it was the most amazing experience to be part of. She was definitely a BOSTICK! She took her sweet time to make her debut. She was born 12/8/11 at 9:54 am. She was a whopping 8 lbs 9 oz and 21 inches long. She is the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen! The boys were both so excited to meet their cousin. Zeke is very protective of Ily. He loves her so much. Peyton just started to say her name. He calls her I and Zeke calls her I wee! It's the sweetest thing. I know they will be the best of friends!

Clyde and I had the opportunity to go to several Grizzlies games this year. We absolutely love the atmosphere at the FedEx Forum. My dad's boss is a season ticket holder. He graciously gave my dad his 4 tickets and parking pass. We indulged ourselves in Rendezvous.  Here are a few pictures from that night.

As March started we definitely became very busy!! On March 23 we found out that we were expecting baby #3! It was a very emotional day!! I went to the doctor that afternoon to confirm it.  Let me give a little background to what was going earlier that week. I had been spotting for several days and wasn't really sure what was going on. It wasn't a normal monthly cycle spotting. I talked to my nurse on Thursday and she told me to take a pregnancy test. My first words out of my mouth was yea right! HAHA...Joke was on me! I took it first thing Friday morning and it was definitely positive. Soooo many emotions began at that moment that I can't even begin to explain. I knew right then that something was wrong. I didn't spot with either of the boys (which they say is normal). I immediately called the office and made an appointment for that Friday afternoon. They did an ultrasound and it confirmed that I was indeed pregnant. I was 4 weeks and 5 days. I met with the doctor and we went over every what if, what it could be, and etc. He was so gracious and reassuring! It decided to treat me as a threatened miscarriage. We went over my previous pregnancies and this one was identical to Zeke. I mean even to the date of conception and due date! It was crazy!! He told me to take it easy over the weekend and to come back first thing Monday morning to have my Hcg levels drawn. Clyde and I decided not to tell anyone since we really weren't sure what was going to happen. By late Friday evening I began to spot more. Saturday and Sunday got even heavier. Let me tell you that it was the LONGEST weekend I have ever had. If you know me, I couldn't stay off the Internet. I think I read just about every blog and medical anything about a threatened miscarriage. On Monday I went to have my levels drawn. Of course, I wouldn't know anything until Tuesday or possibly Wednesday. By late Monday afternoon, I was having what I would classify as a normal cycle. I called the nurse Tuesday at lunch to get my results. At this point, Clyde and I were pretty sure that I was miscarrying. I was ready to accept it. The nurse calls me back and she tells me that my levels have only changed by 10. According to them, they were not classifying me as having a miscarriage because spotting is "normal". I hate that word!! She wanted me to have a followup ultrasound the next week. When those words came out of her mouth I broke down. I told her that I was not spotting anymore and felt like I really needed to be seen. As we waited in the waiting room, I have never felt so many emotions. They took me back to do an ultrasound and it confirmed that I was indeed miscarrying. When I met with the doctor, Clyde and I could have not had a better experience. He answered all of our questions and went over every detail.  I think the hardest part was calling our family to tell them. Let me tell you that Clyde was just amazing through this. He was so calm and supportive. He was hurting too but was so strong for me. I was angry, confused and hurt. I can't even remember the words he prayed that day, but I immediately felt a calmness.

I have had several friends that have been through this and some multiple times. I just kept telling Clyde I can't imagine doing this over and over. My biggest struggle was I kept telling myself that I had no right to be angry. I mean we have 2 healthy boys. That weekend we found out several of our friends were expecting. The funny thing is it didn't affect me at all!! I could not have been more excited for them!! The words of encouragement we got from our friends and family were such a blessing. I can not THANK YOU enough for all the prayers.

Peyton's ONE!!

I can't believe that Peyton is ONE already! Boy did this year fly by. Both boys have definitely kept me busy. Peyton turned one in July. We had a small party with just close family and friends! We had a great time.

Let me first start with saying THANKS to our wonderul Aunt and Uncle who let us use their house to host the party. We knew that it was going to be hot and we definitely wanted to do a pool party!

We love Bonnie and Tommy !! We can't thank you enough for opening your house to us! It meant so much!!

Here are some pictures of the party:

My very FIRST blog!

Well, I have finally decided to blog. So where do I begin???

We have had a busy summer. It began in May with a family trip to Navarre Beach, Flordia. It was a little cool but not crowded at all. We had a blast. Here are some pictures:

While we were there Clyde and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary!! I still can't believe it has already been 4 years. Here are some pictures of how we spent the day!

That day my aunt Lisa and 2 of her crazy friends, Joan and Sharman came down from Orange Beach to spend the day with us! This cake was courtesy of them! It had to be the BEST cake I have ever had. It took 10 of us to eat it! LOL

In April, Blake and Lindsey announced that Lindsey is pregnant! I am FINALLY going to be an aunt! I could not be more excited. They found out in June that they are having a GIRL! Finally a BOSTICK GIRL!!! Her name is going to be Ily (I-lee) Claire Bostick. Zeke is very excited about having a baby cousin. He tells us that he wants Ily to come play! It is so sweet! Here is a picture of him giving Ily some kisses!!

As far as normal daily living goes, we are all staying busy. Clyde is teaching 8th grade boys Sunday School and involved with our church youth group. I am still in our Young Married Sunday School class, and love all the friendships that I have began to make.

Well, I think that is it for now!
